is a collaborative art practice initiated by artists Marina Menendez-Pidal Trittin and Benjamin Niznik, dedicated to collecting, preserving, and reimagining the curiosities of the night through graphic design, print, performance, and public space.

Working in pairs is central to our methodology. We use night walking, collecting, drawing, writing, and making as ways of observing and responding to the environments around us, allowing ideas to develop through exchange rather than individual authorship. Our projects often begin as open-ended investigations and take shape through publications, objects, performances, and interventions in public space. We are interested in overlooked spaces, nocturnal environments, and the everyday traces that reveal how people inhabit and shape their surroundings.

Nite Moves Demo is a publication exploring nighttime life in the Netherlands. Through night walks, conversations, photography, drawing, sound, and collecting, 2by2 documents the city after dark. The project focuses on stories, emotions, and sensory experiences that often go unnoticed, asking how the night might be reframed not as a space of danger, but as one of imagination, connection, and possibility. These encounters, observations, and drawings will come together in an experimental printed reader that offers new ways of experiencing and thinking about the night.
